Red Cross receives meal kits to hand out to community of Sikeston

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – More aid on the way for the city of Sikeston as the American Red Cross has received a shipment of family meal kits to distribute to the community in need.

The American Red Cross has continued to lend a helping hand to the recovery community in Sikeston Missouri as they build back from the tornado that swept through the aera over a week ago.

The meal kits contain 10 complete dinners that do not need to be refrigerated. They are packed and ready to go for those in need.

Since many victims of the disaster continue to be without power and continue to struggle, Red Cross volunteers assure the public that food for those in need is still a top priority for disaster victims.
