Salmonella outbreak impacting people in MO, KY, TN

(KBSI) – A salmonella outbreak has been detected in cucumbers.
At least 162 people got sick, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
One person got sick in Missouri.
Four people got sick in Kentucky.
Eight people got sick in Tennessee.
Fresh Start Produce Sales Inc. recalled whole cucumbers.
Cucumbers were sold in bulk to retail distribution centers, wholesalers, and food service distributors in 14 states, but these sellers may have shipped to additional states or re-packaged them for stores.
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Shipped from May 17 to May 21.
The cucumbers were grown in Florida.
The recall does not include English cucumbers or mini cucumbers.
The recalled cucumbers should no longer be in stores, according to the CDC.
