Cape G Rock kicks off Historic Porch Session
CAPE GIRARDEAU Mo. (KBSI) – Cape G Rocks Historic Porch Sessions has made its return at the James Reynolds House this Wednesday.
Several organizations joined in this year’s session, including SEMO Food Bank. Ticket holders were encouraged to bring lawn chairs for the front yard and canned food donations to help those in need. Cora’s Taste of Manila and Minglewood Brewery provided food and beverages to top off the delightful evening.
Event Coordinator Alyssa Phares says, “This event is completely important to this community because it brings people together who wouldn’t maybe normally come together. Especially at historic properties. It shows that these properties can live beyond their original lifetime. And they have a purpose for here in the 21st century.”
Ticket proceeds will go to the restoration and rehabilitation of Cape’s Historic Homes.
