5 face drug charges in separate investigations in Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Five people face drug charges in separate investigations in Paducah.
Johnny Dewayne Thomas, 43, of Bowling Green was arrested on an indictment warrant charging him with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine; second or greater offense).
Martigo Richod Matchem, 34, of Farwood Drive, was arrested on indictment warrants charging him with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives).
Otis D. McKinney, 28, of Trimble Street, arrested on an indictment warrant charging him with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine; second or greater offense).
Jose Montrell Harmon, 37, of Parkside Drive, arrested on indictment warrants charging him with two counts of trafficking in synthetic drugs (first offense).
Larena S. Cleary, 35, of Cruse Avenue, was arrested on indictment warrants charging her with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine; second or greater offense).
Several separate investigations by the Paducah Police Department’s Drug Unit led to the arrests late last week of five people charged with trafficking drugs.
The Drug Unit began the investigations weeks ago.
They sought indictments in May from the McCracken County grand jury against Johnny D. Thomas, Martigo R. Matchem, Otis D. McKinney, Jose M. Harmon and Larena S. Cleary.
Drug detectives, with assistance from uniformed officers, began arresting the five late Thursday morning.
They were booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
