McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies warn of 2 scams

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies warn the public of two scams showing up in the county.

A McCracken County business received a paperwork that said there was a legitimate lien from the State of Kentucky back in 2018, for an extremely small amount of money.

Deputies say the scammers (supposedly in Kennewick, Washington) got hold of legitimate (but old and not active) paperwork to create the scam.

Anyone with questions about receiving suspicious demands for payment can call Kathy Knuckolls in the McCracken County Clerk’s Office at (270) 444-4700.
