1 dead, 3 injured in 3-vehicle collision in Cape Girardeau County

DELTA, Mo. (KBSI) – A Marble Hill man died and three others are injured after a crash Thursday night near Delta.

It happened on Highway N two miles west of Delta on Thursday, June 13 around 6:50 p.m.

Barbara Winchester, 76, of Marble Hill was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox westbound on Hwy. N.

Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers say Norman J. Winchester, 53, of Zalma was a passenger in Barbara Winchester’s vehicle.

Winchester’s vehicle was stopped in the road due to heavy smoke, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Peggy A. Nenninger, 61, of Marble Hill was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Trax westbound on Highway N.

Troopers say Nenninger’s vehicle rear-ended Winchester’s vehicle.

A third vehicle driven by Lance A. Seiler, 31, of Marble Hill hit the rear of Nenninger’s vehicle.

Donald H. Winchester, 83, of Marble Hill was a passenger in Norman’s Winchester’s vehicle. He was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center and pronounced dead at 9:30 p.m.

This is the 31st fatality for Troop # in 2024.

Nenninger had minor injuries.
