Tennessee man arrested in Murray, KY after police chase

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Puryear, Tennessee man faces several charges in Murray after sheriff’s deputies say he led them on a chase.

Christian J. Allen, 23, faces charges of fleeing or evading police 1st degree (Class D felony), criminal mischief 1st degree (Class D felony), wanton endangerment 1st degree (Class D felony), assault 1st degree-attempted (Class C felony), wanton endangerment 2nd degree and various traffic violations.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies were notified by Murray police around 10:30 p.m. on June 15 that there was a driver refusing to stop for the officers in the area of Main Street and 15th Street.

Deputies say Allen did not stop when deputies arrived.

The chase continued through multiple roads and fields. Deputies say at times almost striking deputies.

Allen was stopped in the Canterbury subdivision and arrested.

Deputies say multiple Calloway County Sheriff’s Office vehicles were damaged during the chase. No one was injured.

Allen had a felony warrant issued by Henry County, Tennessee.
