1 dies in plane crash near Martin, TN

MARTIN, Tenn. (KBSI) – One person died in a plane crash near Martin, Tennessee Tuesday morning.

A single engine plane crash in a wooded area near 957 Vancleave Road in Martin on June 25.

The City of Martin Fire/Rescue confirms one person died. The name of the person is not being released pending notification fo family.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will begin an investigation.

Vancleave Road was closed from Three Point Road to Bizzle Lane.

Weakley County EMA, Weakley County Sheriff’s Department and Rescue Squad assisted on scene.
