Hundreds report power outages, numerous stranded on flooded roads after storms

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Thunderstorms rolled through the area Tuesday night causing hundreds to be without power after the storm.
Poplar Bluff police are assisting numerous drivers who are stranded on flooded roads. Police ask drivers to avoid driving through flooded roadways as help may be delayed.
A large tree feel across N. Farmington Road in Jackson, Missouri around 10:45 p.m. It blocked traffic between W. Independence Street and Donna Lane.
