Kentucky State Police ask for public’s help finding missing woman

BALLARD COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Kentucky State Police troopers are searching for a woman who was recently released from a western Kentucky jail.

Shannon Charles, 26, was last seen on July 1 when she was discharged from Ballard County Detention Center.

Family says that Charles is unfamiliar with the area and does not have a cell phone.

She was last seen wearing a white tee shirt, green pants and orange crocs style shoes.

She was last seen with braided hair.

Family members say that Charles is trying to get back to Grayson in Carter County.
