15 firearms and drugs found in Mount Vernon home

MOUNT VERNON, IL (KBSI) – Mount Vernon Police and Jefferson County Sheriffs Office joint Narcotics Division served a search warrant in the 1200 block of South 27th Street on July 11 at 2:15 p.m.

During the investigation 15 firearms, ammunition, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia were located. Officers arrested 48-year-old Stephen M. Warren and booked him into Jefferson County Jail. He’s charged with aggravated possession of methamphetamine 5-15 grams and possession of firearms with a revoked Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card.
