Texas man arrested in Franklin County after deputies find drugs during traffic stop

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A Texas man faces drug charges after he was arrested in Franklin County during a traffic stop.
Patrick R. McFadden, 42, of Texarkana, Texas faces charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Class 4 felony), unlawful possession of methamphetamine (Class 3 felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor) and two traffic offenses.
Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a driver on State Highway 149 near Interstate 57 at 7:50 p.m. on July 18.
Deputies discovered McFadden’s driving privileges were revoked and he was wanted in Indiana for methamphetamine possession.
He was arrested. Deputies searched his vehicle.
Deputies say they found drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. They say they also found numerous pills that were identified by McFadden as being ecstasy.
McFadden was taken to the Franklin County Jail.
Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon says he is also being held in related to an outstanding arrest warrant for the State of Indiana.
