Murray man faces drug charges after traffic stop

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Murray man faces drug charges after a traffic stop Monday.

Joshua Colson, 31, faces charges of possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 3rd or greater offense-methamphetamine (Class D felony), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and probation violation for felony offense-warrant.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 121S around 10 p.m. on July 22.

Deputies say the passenger, Joshua Colson, was found to possess illicit drugs.

Colson was found guilty of possession of methamphetamine for the first time in 2020 and again in 2023.

He was still under supervised probation at the time of his arrest that had been revoked for violating the conditions.

Colson was taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
