Mount Vernon Township High School to conduct active shooter drill

MOUNT VERNON, IL (KBSI) – The Mount Vernon Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office to conduct their annual active shooter drill.

The officers will be at Mount Vernon Township High School on July 29 and July 31 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a heavy police presence near the school.
