Sheriff’s deputies investigating more than $18,000 worth of stolen copper wire

MAYFIELD, Ky. (KBSI) – Graves County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the theft of thousands of dollars worth of copper wire.

Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden says someone driving an older model Ford Escape pulling a single axle utility trailer stole 11,000 feet of copper wire from a construction site in Mayfield just off of US Hwy 45 North of Mayfield during early morning hours of Monday, August 12.

The copper wire is valued at more than $18,000.
