Murray man facing drug charges

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Murray man faces drug charges.
James L. Smith, 59, of Murray faces charges of possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st off-methamphetamine (Class D felony), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
As Calloway County sheriff’s deputies tried to serve an arrest warrant on someone at a home on Post Oak Drive around 1 a.m. on August 14, they say they came upon a person who was in possession of illicit drugs.
Smith was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
