Juvenile arrested at youth home after allegedly stabbing a worker

CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY (KBSI) – A 16-year-old boy was arrested after apparently stabbing one of the workers at his youth home with a knife on Aug. 14.

When Calloway County deputies arrived, the male assaulted one of them and ran into a cornfield next to the youth home. After around two hours the juvenile returned to the youth home and again took off on foot when deputies arrived. Two K-9s were deployed and caught the teen but he assaulted another deputy while they struggled to arrest him.

He faces the following charges:

  • Assault 1st Degree- Attempt (Class C felony)
  • Assault 3rd Degree- Police Officer- 2 counts (Class D felony)
  • Fleeing Police 2nd Degree- On Foot
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree

The deputies did not sustain injuries that required medical treatment.
