Airplane lands on Interstate 64 near Mount Vernon
MOUNT VERNON, Ill. (KBSI) – An airplane with mechanical issues landed on Interstate 64 Friday morning near Mount Vernon.
The pilot landed at milepost 80 in the westbound lane of Interstate 64 around 8:20 a.m. on Friday, September 6.
Illinois State Police say the aircraft had mechanical issues, landed on the interstate and hit a guardrail.
No injuries were reported.
