Carbondale First Responders Team Up to Support High School Football Team

CARBONDALE, Il., (KBSI)- Carbondale Police and Fire Departments teamed up to serve dinner to the Carbondale High School football team ahead of their home game.
The event, organized by Coach Brian Lee and Sergeant Stephanie Dillow, aimed to foster teamwork and community spirit.
Coach Lee stated “This is something that the whole community, the whole world needs to see. When the community comes out to support its youth, you don’t get a better community tie than that!”

Events like this are not just about a meal; they’re about building strong, lasting relationships between our first responders and the young members of our community. When we come together in support of our youth, we’re reinforcing the values of teamwork, trust, and community. this collaboration reflects our commitment to fostering positive ties that go beyond public safety and create lasting memories for everyone involved,” said Carbondale Police Chief and Interim City Manager Stan Reno.
