Southern Illinois schools are just one area of many to receive school threat

Vienna, Ill. (KBSI) – Law enforcement and Vienna school officials are investigating a threat made through social media on Sunday, September 15.
Vienna school district is one of many to receive a school threat in the last week.
Vienna Schools Superintendent Joshua Stafford says they were made aware of a social media post being shared on social media making threats to the school district.
Stafford shares in an email that they ask people not to share or screen shot any posts like this but instead contact local law enforcement and school officials.
After a thorough investigation Superintendent Joshua Stafford says there is no credible threat to any schools or individuals.
According to Stafford the social media post was in reference to an incident related to Saline County Schools last week and was not talking about Vienna Schools.
