Area hospital celebrates the use of robotic assisted surgery

HERRIN, Ill. (KBSI) – SIH announces the use of robotic assisted surgery.

SIH Herrin hospital has launched their robotics assisted surgery program with the use of the da vinci Xi surgical system.

SIH now has 18 robotically trained surgeons across both of their Southern Illinois Campuses.

Making it the largest most experienced program in the area.

To celebrate this, they are holding a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday October 2, from 4-7 pm at SIH Herrin Hospital.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the robotics operating room, meet surgeons, and learn about performance enhancing technology.
