Police investigating after Family Dollar, a house and a vehicle were struck by gunfire in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Police continue to investigate after a home and a business was struck with gunfire.
According to Cape Girardeau Public Information’s Officer Bobby Newton on October 8 around 8:00 pm officers responded to the 700 block of William for a report of shots fired.
Officers searched the area and located evidence of shots being fired.
Officers also located bullet holes in the Family Dollar store that caused damage.
One vehicle and one home were also struck.
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
