Hit and run incident in Malden left woman with severe injuries

MALDEN, Mo. (KBSI) – A woman is now in stable condition after a hit in run incident.

According to the Malden Police Department, on Sunday October 13, 2024, around 1:31 am Dunklin County 911 dispatch received a call that involved a car accident on the 900 Block of North Kimball Street with one driver leaving the scene.

When Malden Officers arrived at the scene of the accident, they found the female driver to have extensive injuries, she was transported to a hospital by ambulance.

The other car involved was found not far from the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Naaman J. Caldwell and a warrant for his arrest has been issued with a $75,000.00 cash only bond for the following charges:

-Leaving Scene Of Accident – Physical Injury / Class E Felony

-Operate Vehicle On Highway Without A Valid License – 1st Offense / Class D Misdemeanor

-Operate Motor Vehicle Owned By Another Knowing Owner Of Vehicle Has Not Maintained Financial Responsibility – 1st Offense / Class D Misdemeanor.

The female driver was reported to be in stable condition.

Responding agencies to this incident are Malden Fire Division, Medic One Ambulance Service, Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
