Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department warns residents of phone scam

DUNKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department is warning residence of a phone scam.

According to the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office they’ve received reports of individuals falsely claiming to be with the Dunklin Sheriff’s Department in an attempt to obtain personal information.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages people to do not provide any personal information, hang up immediately if you receive such a call, report the call to local law enforcement.

They say they are working on the issue.
