Bicyclist hit and killed in Scott County

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A bicyclist was hit and killed by a car in Scott County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol on the evening of Wednesday November 13, 2024, emergency crews responded to a deadly incident.

The crash incident happened around 5:19 pm west of Blodgett on Highway U.

MSHP reports that a car driven by a 23-year-old Benton man was headed east bound when he hit a bicyclist in the roadway.

Crash reports state that the bicyclist a 20-year-old Blodgett man died at the scene.
