A man involved in a different crash on Hwy. 60 dies after being hit by a semi

BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A Scott City Missouri man was involved in a serious car crash early Saturday morning on highway 60, and later passed after being hit by a semi in oncoming traffic while he was on the roadway.

This according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the first car crash happened on highway 60 just two miles west of Fisk around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The other driver involved in the first crash had minor injuries, and was taken to the local hospital for treatment.

However, the Missouri State Highway Patrol says this passenger who was ejected from the car was seriously injured and was still at the scene when he  was involved in a collision into oncoming traffic.

After being ejected from the car, the passenger was hit by a semi that was heading east on highway 60, just a matter of minutes after the first crash occurred.

It’s reported that the passenger from Scott City later died at the scene.
