Multiple agency vehicle pursuit leads to arrest of Kentucky man with multiple warrants

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Kentucky man is in custody following a vehicle pursuit.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office an Almo, Kentucky man who was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants was arrested following a vehicle pursuit in Kentucky and Illinois.
On December 17, 2024, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office located a vehicle believed to be driven by 42-year-old Wesley Alexander at a hotel in Metropolis, IL.
Alexander was wanted on numerous warrants including bail jumping on a Fentanyl trafficking case out of Calloway County, parole violations, and several other offenses, including Fleeing or Evading Police.
Before Illinois authorities arrived, Alexander got into the vehicle and left.
Detectives followed the vehicle on I-24 as he entered Kentucky.
Alexander exited the interstate at exit 3 where a deputy attempted to stop and arrest him.
Alexander fled back onto I-24 and into Illinois. Deputies pursued Alexander and were soon assisted by the Metropolis Police Department and the Massac County Sheriff’s Office.
Alexander eventually tried to enter back into Kentucky via the Brookport Bridge where McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputies were waiting with spike strips.
After Alexander struck the spike strips the chase ended at a local business located at 1939 North 8th Street in Paducah, KY.
Alexander was arrested.
Detectives found a straw with Methamphetamine in Alexander’s pocket.
Additional drugs and paraphernalia were also found inside the vehicle.
After his arrest, Alexander admitted to having swallowed additional drugs during the chase.
Alexander was treated at a local hospital, released, and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

-Persistent Felony Offender
-Parole Violations, Fleeing or Evading police 1st-degree Motor Vehicle
-1st-degree Wanton Endangerment
-Possession of Methamphetamine
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Possession of Marijuana, and Speeding
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Massac County Sheriff’s Office, the Metropolis Police Department, the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, and the Paducah Police Department.
