Dog missing after vehicle wreck in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A wreck in Johnson County caused a road closure.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office on December 31, 2024 a vehicle wreck occurred blocking the North Bound Lane of U.S. 45.

As crews worked to clear the scene a dog went missing from one of the vehicles involved.

The dog is a black and white border collie approximately 25-35 pounds and his name is Simon. He could be in the Vienna area.
