Ameren Missouri’s revised Energy Efficiency Plan approved by Public Service Commission

COLUMBIA, Mo., (KBSI) — Ameren Missouri’s revised energy efficiency plan has been approved by the Missouri Public Service Commission, allowing the company to continue offering customers opportunities to save money and energy.

The plan, filed under the Missouri Energy Efficiency Investment Act, includes programs for residential and business customers, such as:

— Peak Time Savings
— Instant discounts on smart thermostats
— Pay As You Save (PAYS) home energy assessment
— Demand response program for businesses
— BizSavers, a business energy savings program

New programs include:

— Single-Family Income-Eligible program, offering whole-home upgrades
— Multifamily Income-Eligible program, providing incentives for energy-saving upgrades
— Business Social Services program, supporting energy efficiency upgrades at facilities providing food, shelter and care

Ameren Missouri’s energy efficiency programs have saved customers over $2.9 billion on energy bills since their inception.

The approved plan includes:

— $75 million in rebates and incentives
— $20 million for income-eligible customers and social service agencies
— A goal of 102,000 megawatt-hours in energy savings
— $51 million invested annually in energy efficiency programs in 2025 and 2026
