Southern Indiana takes down SEMO in 93-69 Victory

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — Southeast Missouri State fell to Southern Indiana 93-69 on Thursday night at the Show Me Center, as the Screaming Eagles took over the second half to secure the Ohio Valley Conference win.

Skylar Barnes led the Redhawks (4-10, 2-3 OVC) with 21 points, shooting 8-of-15 from the field and a perfect 3-of-3 from the free-throw line. Zoe Best added 20 points, hitting four first-half three-pointers, while Da’Kariya Jackson contributed 15 in her SEMO Rehawks debut.

SEMO led 24-14 after the first quarter and held a 38-29 advantage late in the second, but Southern Indiana (12-4, 4-1 OVC) stormed back with a 10-0 run to take a 44-40 halftime lead. The Screaming Eagles controlled the second half, outscoring the Redhawks 49-29 behind a balanced attack.

The Redhawks return to action Saturday against Morehead State, with tip-off set for 1:30 p.m in Cape Girardeau.
