Citizens Electric still working to restore power in Perry County
PERRY COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) – As of 3 p.m. Sunday, Citizens Electric Corporation reported that new outages were occurring, and interruptions were expected to continue as ice melts from trees and power lines.
A team of 124-line workers and additional support staff were working to restore power to affected members.
To report an outage, members can call 1-877-876-3511 and select option 1. For assistance from a Member Service Representative, select option 5.
Earlier Sunday, crews visited locations experiencing individual service outages, restoring power where possible. In cases where damage to service entrance equipment was found, members were notified to hire an electrician for repairs.
Citizens Electric Corporation reminded members that they are responsible for maintaining weather-head, conduit, meter base, grounding rod and conductor equipment.
The cooperative expressed appreciation for its members’ patience and understanding during the outage restoration process.
