Dunklin Co. Sheriff reminds drivers of bus safety following terrifying accident

KENNETT, Mo., (KBSI) — Following a recent school bus incident in southeast Missouri, Dunklin County residents are reminded of Missouri’s laws regarding school bus safety:

Motorists must stop when a school bus:

– Extends its stop arm
– Activates flashing lights

Vehicles must remain stopped until the lights are turned off or the bus starts moving.

Drivers are urged to exercise caution and stay alert to ensure student safety.
