CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI)- UPDATE: The gas leak has been contained after a crash on E. Main St.

A single-vehicle crash in the 1300 block of E. Main St. caused a gas leak, prompting emergency responders to close the area.

The scene is now secure, and the gas leak has been resolved.

All roads are open to traffic, although emergency personnel may remain in the area.
