Deadly multi-vehicle crash closes southbound I-57 in Jefferson Co. Ill.

JEFFERSON Co., Ill., (KBSI) – A multi-vehicle crash has closed Interstate 57 Southbound near the Ina Exit (83) due to a multi-vehicle crash.

The Illinois State Police and multiple fire and medical agencies are on the scene. All three southbound lanes are currently closed.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes
