Sikeston Jaycees Donate Snowplow to Support First Responders

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) — The Sikeston Jaycee have donated a snowplow to the city’s police departments, ensuring first responders can operate safely during winter storms.
The organization, known for its community support and annual Bootheel Rodeo, made the donation to help clear emergency vehicle parking lots, allowing first responders to remain operational in severe weather.
“The Jaycees provide donations to multiple community organizations,” says Sikeston Department of Public Safety Sergeant Tyler Rowe. “This allows emergency vehicles to get out safely while keeping city street department trucks focused on clearing roads.”
Jaycee President Spence Vaugh discusses the group’s commitment to community service. “Our creed states that ‘service to humanity is the best work of life.’ We strive to benefit the community as much as we can.”
Rowe expressed his gratitude for the donation, talking about its role in improving emergency response times and overall public safety.
