Motorists asked to seek alternate routes after gas leak in Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Motorists are being asked to seek alternate routes after a gas leak in Paducah.
According to the Paducah Police Department around 12:29 pm on January 19, 2025, they received a report of a gas leak on Broadway Street.
The 100-400 blocks of Broadway Street are currently still closed to all traffic due to a gas leak.
The road closure is to ensure the safety of the public while Atmos Energy works to resolve the issue.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the downtown area and use alternate routes until further notice.
At this moment, there is no estimated time for when Broadway Street will be reopened.
Paducah Police Departments says Atmos Energy is actively working on resolving the gas leak and will provide updates as the situation progresses.
