Cape Girardeau Police launch new alert system, mobile app

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau Police Department has launched an updated push-alert notification system and mobile app to enhance communication with the community.

The system, developed by tip411, allows residents and business owners to receive alerts and send anonymous tips, including photos and videos, to police via smartphone or text message.

The Cape Girardeau PD app and tip411 system are completely anonymous, with identifying information removed before police view tips.

Individuals can download the app or send anonymous text tips by texting “CAPEPD” and their message to 847411.

The police department’s business line is 573-335-6621, and the anonymous tip line is 573-339-6313.
