NAYLOR, Mo., (KBSI) — Authorities have taken a suspect into custody following a bank robbery at People’s Bank on Highway 142.

Authorities have arrested a suspect following a robbery at People’s Community Bank on Highway 142 in Ripley County.

According to law enforcement officials, the suspect, identified as Dalvin Lance, 32, of Naylor, entered the bank Tuesday morning and allegedly threatened employee while demanding money.

“It’s actually a Dalvin Lance, 32, of Naylor, who is a frequent customer of theirs,” Ripley County Sheriff Rad Talburt said. “He came in and robbed the bank, threatening the tellers with killing them or stabbing them with the knife. The bank manager went ahead and gave him some money, after which he left, and they locked the doors until we arrived.”

Authorities say Lance fled the scene but was quickly located and taken into custody without incident.

No injuries were reported, and the stolen money was recovered as evidence. Lance is now facing multiple charges, including first-degree robbery, first-degree terrorist threat, and first-degree harassment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has handed the investigation over to the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) regarding the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
