Bollinger County K9 receives protective vest donation

BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. — K9 Loki, a member of the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office, has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.
The vest was sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and features the embroidery “This gift of protection provided by Vested Interest in K9s.”
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity that provides bullet and stab protective vests to law enforcement dogs across the United States. Since its inception in 2009, the organization has provided over 5,918 vests to K9s in all 50 states, valued at $6.9 million ¹.
The program is open to U.S. dogs that are at least 20 months old and actively employed and certified with law enforcement or related agencies. K9s with expired vests are also eligible to participate.
