Fugitive arrested in North Carolina on parole violation charges

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Kayla Williamson, a fugitive wanted on parole violation charges, was arrested in North Carolina on Feb. 18 by the United States Marshals Service.

Williamson, who pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree in 2018, had an active arrest warrant issued in September 2024.

The case stems from a 2017 incident involving the death of Williamson’s 14-month-old child. Her then-boyfriend, Louis Hollis, was convicted of abuse or neglect of a child resulting in death and sentenced to 20 years.

Williamson is currently awaiting extradition to Missouri to face parole violation charges.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the U.S. Marshals Service to apprehend Williamson, demonstrating their commitment to bringing fugitives to justice and ensuring public safety.
