(KBSI) – Northbound Interstate 55 will be closed as the Missouri Department of Transportation works with the Missouri State Highway Patrol to help remove a semi truck from the median.

This section of roadway is located from Exit 8 to Exit 14.

Traffic will be detoured at Exit 8 to Route H north to Route U.

At Route U drivers will turn west back on I-55 at exit 14.

Weather permitting, work will take place Friday, Feb. 21 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

CSX Railroad is planning upcoming maintenance that will impact crossings along state, county, city and private roads at a number of locations in Henderson and Webster County in the comings weeks, beginning on Monday in Sebree, Feb. 24.

A maintenance crew working for the railroad will block the KY 56 (Main Street) crossing at the 12.35 mile point starting Monday.

A marked detour will be in place, directing traffic to use KY 132 from downtown Sebree and KY 494 west of town to travel between U.S. 41 and KY 56.  This is expected to be a 2-3 day blockage.
