Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center launches annual Peanut Butter Drive

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is hosting its annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive to benefit SEMO Food Bank, kicking off March 1 and running through March 24.

The drive aims to collect peanut butter, a highly sought-after item for food banks due to its nutritional value and long shelf life.

“Poplar Bluff Regional is committed to supporting better health throughout our community,” said CEO Clyde Wood. “With the Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive, we can help reduce hunger in our area.”

This marks the third year of the campaign, which has expanded to include local businesses and community centers across Southeast Missouri. Last year’s drive collected 8,200 jars of peanut butter.

Donation barrels will be located at PBRMC’s main campus, and a QR code and donation link are available online. A $5 donation provides two jars of peanut butter.
