Cave-In-Rock Ferry reopens after temporary closure due to high water

KENTUCKY, (KBSI) — The Cave-In-Rock Ferry reopened Wednesday, Feb. 28, after being closed since Feb. 19 due to high water levels.

The ferry will resume its regular operating schedule, running daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The last departure from the Illinois side is at 9:40 p.m., and the last departure from the Kentucky side is at 9:50 p.m.

The Cave-In-Rock Ferry connects KY 91 with IL Route 1 across the Ohio River, linking Crittenden County, Ky., and Hardin County, Ill.
