Dexter firefighters battle house fire, prevent further damage
DEXTER, Mo., (KBSI) — Firefighters responded to a house fire at 3:29 p.m. today, finding the outside wall and attic of the residence heavily engulfed in flames.
The fire spread to a neighboring house, causing exterior damage and smoke damage.
The Dexter Fire Department responded with four units, including Pumper 3, Pumper 4, Ladder 19 and Tanker 1.
Twenty firefighters were on scene, and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters worked to ventilate the structure, cutting holes to release heat and smoke.
