Windy and stormy Wednesday
A RED FLAG WARNING is in effect until 8pm tonight. Warm temperatures, gusty winds and low humidity will lead to critical fire danger.
A WIND ADVISORY is in effect starting Wednesday morning- 8pm Wednesday. Wind gusts 40-50 mph likely.
StormCast is showing a line of isolated storms Wednesday afternoon and evening, which could become severe quickly, due to the warm air and moisture helping fuel these cells.
Wednesday, a MARGINAL (Level 1 out of 5) risk for severe weather is in effect for counties east of Cape Girardeau. A SLIGHT (level 2 out of 5) risk for parts of Illinois. The main concern with these scattered to isolated storms will be wind gusts 60+ mph and some hail 1″ in diameter.

Quarter size hail could also be a concern tomorrow evening. There is no threat for tornadoes.
