Sheriff’s office issues special use permits for ATV, golf carts in Ripley County

DONIPHAN, Mo., (KBSI) — Ripley County Sheriff Special-Use Permits for ATV/UTV/OHV and golf carts are now available.

Permits can be obtained at the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, 301 Lafayette St., Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Applicants are advised to call ahead to confirm office hours.

The non-refundable application fee is $25. Required documents include:

— Valid driver’s license
— Proof of ownership
— Serial number or VIN

For units without documentation, a Declaration of Ownership statement can be signed with the application, accompanied by a photo of the unit.

ATV applicants must also provide current registration from the Department of Revenue and proof of financial responsibility (insurance).
