Perry County School District #32 to reopen some buildings Monday after tornado

PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Students at some schools in the Perry County School District 32 will return to class Monday after a weeklong closure due to a tornado that damaged the campus.

Perryville Primary Center, Little Pirates, Early Childhood Special Education program, Perryville Area Career and Technology Center, and CEO Program students will resume classes Monday for regular hours.

Perryville Elementary School students will return to class Wednesday, along with the Adventure Club program.

However, students at Perry County Middle School and most Perryville High School students will not resume classes yet. Updates on their status will be provided.

Bus service will be available for Primary, 3-hour block, and CEO Program students starting Monday, and for elementary students beginning Wednesday. Bus schedules may be slightly delayed.

Families displaced by the tornado who need bus service at a new address should contact the Transportation Department at 573-547-7500, ext. 1790.
