Livingston County Middle School sixth graders graduate from D.A.R.E. program

SMITHLAND, Ky., (KBSI) — The sixth-grade class at Livingston County Middle School celebrated their completion of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program with a graduation ceremony on March 24.

D.A.R.E. Officer Greg Moyers addressed the students, highlighting the skills they learned, including responsible decision-making, resisting peer pressure and understanding the dangers of drug use.

Principal Mark Fenske encouraged students to apply these skills as they grow, emphasizing the importance of positive choices.

Livingston County Sheriff Bobby Davidson congratulated the students and shared a personal story about resisting negative influences, reinforcing the importance of standing strong against peer pressure.

The D.A.R.E. program aims to educate young students about substance abuse risks and empower them to make safe, healthy decisions.
