Former teacher’s aide avoids prison time in student sex case

BENTON, Mo., (KBSI) — A former teacher’s aide in the Kelly R-IV School District was sentenced Tuesday to a suspended five years of probation for having sexual contact with a student.

Kristin Kirker, 27, was sentenced to a three-year suspended sentence and five years of probation in a Scott County courtroom on Tuesday.

She also will be required to register as a sex offender.

She pleaded guilty to the felony charge on January 28.
