Man arrested for indecent exposure in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A man was taken into custody Wednesday morning after a report of indecent exposure in the 700-block of Clark Avenue.

Officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the scene around 9 a.m. and detained the suspect, who was matching the description provided by the reporting party.

According to the reporting party, the suspect was standing on the sidewalk in front of a business, inappropriately touching himself.

The suspect was transported to the Cape Girardeau Police Department, pending formal charges.

Police say there is no current threat to public safety related to this incident.
